Volunteers Needed Now!
If you are a ham or meteorologically trained, you may qualify for a volunteer position with Metro Skywarn.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Metro Skywarn is looking for hams and meteorologically trained people who have experience providing training.
You must have a passion for weather and commit to teaching three classes a year. Candidates must be
available in February, March, April, and May. Next year they will assist
experienced trainers at classes and teach ham radio procedure. Then in February
2006, new trainers will attend one of two day long certification classes held by
the MN Dept of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service. Contact

Metro Skywarn is looking for weather wise Amateur Radio Operators in the Mpls/St.Paul area to take a major
role in Skywarn Nets. The Emergency Operation Center at the National Weather Service Field Office in
Chanhassen is looking for Amateur Radio Operators with flexible hours to work during severe weather events
in East Central Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Contact Dave at

Assistant Webmaster(s) - Under supervision of the Webmaster, monitor, maintain and update Skywarn
Central (www.skywarn.ampr.org). Preference given to experience with Website operations, design and setup. Take a part of the website and make

Committee Members - We need more active members participating in the operations of Metro Skywarn. Expectations should
not exceed more than two meetings a month and a few hours working on the task at hand. The Board wishes to form standing committees to
work on Newsletter, Spotter Appreciation, Spotter Notification, Web page, Organization Collaboration, Public Relations, Fund Raising, and
